Our Story
Miniature Base Coating opened its doors in 2013, founded by a passionate group of gamers who saw a need for affordable, high-quality miniature painting services. What began as a side project with a single airbrush and a small club of hobbyists has grown into one of the fastest-growing game service companies in the industry.
MBC started by offering base coating services to the local gaming community as a cost-effective alternative to full studio prices. The response was overwhelming. Gamers from across the country began sending their armies, and word spread quickly about the quality and care that went into every project.
Thanks to outstanding feedback and a growing customer base, MBC has expanded to employ six artists, including an on-site digital artist, and to offer a comprehensive range of services. These include base coating, magnetization, paint stripping, custom decals, custom bases, commission painting, assembly and repairs, as well as terrain and game table construction.
Today, MBC Workshop operates from two locations in New Jersey and serves customers worldwide. We've completed over 250 projects, painted more than 5,000 models, and built a reputation as one of the most trusted names in the miniature wargaming community.
